Autumn/winter 2017/18 trends - Men/Women

Autumn/winter 2017/18 trends - Men/Women

Just in case you did not know, I buy the collections for our family store in Cannes. And is this is a multi-brand shop, I have the chance to go to the different showrooms and discover trends and new brands.

The last purchasing session was in March and as usual, I visited Paris and Milan during their fashion weeks. (You would love to be in my shoes/slippers, right? )

So here is what I have noticed on the upcoming trends for Autumn/Winter 2017/18

The masculine style is back this winter! It gives you ensurance, gives the opportunity to women to affirm themselves without losing any femininity. She becomes more sexier, without being provocative.

The used materials are borrowed from the wardrobe of men, like the english tissues (tweed or tartans). These are very noble tissues that breath power. We can also find fur, patent leather, suede, leather, denim, velvet…

These different tissues are often put in contrast with very girly accessories like strass buckle oversized node, pom poms, rococo embroideries…

As women take over trends of men, it is natural that the trends for men are inspired by some details and materials that are very warm and comforting like velvet or tweed, noble like leather and adding some maxi accessories like gold or silver embroideries, contrasting pom poms.

The colors have created the surprise as Red and White are making their appearance! In winter you would ask? Well, yes and it is inescapable! But not to worry, we keep of course the black color so we can reassure ourselves, make contrast.

I believe you are all ready to attack this autumn/winter season!

See you soon for some more trends…

Emmanuelle
